With pride and precision…

A WORLD OF AUDO

IT IS ALL ABOUT THE FEELING

An award-winning Danish design icon, The Tired Man is as relevant today as when it was first created in the mid-19th century.

The Tired Man, Lounge Chair, was launched at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition in 1935 and has since become an icon of Danish design. The epitome of craftsmanship and comfort, the characteristically curved armchair was designed by Flemming Larsen to feel 'as warm and cuddly as a polar bear cub in its mother's arms'. Relaunched in 2015, the award-winning design is offered in plush upholstery, including sheepskin in a nod to the original, with natural or dark-oiled heartwood oak legs and front brass castors for easy movement. A matching footstool adds further comfort.

It is by Lassen’s vision to share the Lassen brothers’ design legacy with the coming generations. Many of the furniture designs were only made once for the particular building or home they were created for, so to this day, pieces still come up at auction that were never put into production. The Lassen brothers’ archive of architecture and furniture design represents the finest qualities of the Danish design tradition and deserves a wider audience. To that end, we carefully and humbly select the furniture designs we choose to reintroduce to the world to hopefully live a long life in the homes of future generations as beacons of the Danish design tradition that has inspired so many design talents.

Mogens Lassen spent several years developing, drawing and calculating his way to the right kind of candleholder, that you today know as Kubus. The Kubus collection is produced with up to 95% recycled steel.
