A world of light…
A WORLD OF LE KLINT
Le Klint is widely known for its iconic hand-pleated lampshades, but the brand offers so much more than just pleats. With its roots in the golden era of Danish design, Le Klint offers a distinctive blend of craftsmanship, functionality, and timeless aesthetics.
The story began in the early 1900s when the architect P. V. Jensen-Klint developed the distinctive cross-pleating technique on which the brand was founded. Together with his sons, Jensen-Klint established a design philosophy in which light, form and functionality are inseparable. Many of Le Klint’s classic designs are still produced using these same principles and folding techniques today, ensuring the authenticity of the original ideas is preserved.
Today, Le Klint is a modern Danish lighting company with a strong focus on quality, durability, and responsible production. Most lamps are produced in Denmark, either at Le Klint’s own facilities in Odense or through trusted local partners. High-quality materials are chosen to ensure longevity, and most of the lamps can be repaired rather than replaced.
Rather than following short-lived technological trends, Le Klint creates long-lasting solutions with replaceable light sources and multifunctional components that are thoughtfully designed. Alongside its strong portfolio of design classics, Le Klint continuously develops new lighting in collaboration with contemporary designers to create solutions for private homes and professional environments alike.
Le Klint is a living design heritage, where tradition, innovation and light converge to create a refined and enduring expression.
